Your questions, answered
What is a tipping competition?
A tipping competition is a season-long fan engagement campaign where supporters pick the winner of each fixture, round by round, and climb a leaderboard. In the UK and Europe it's often called a prediction league or pick 'em. Clubs and leagues run one to bring fans back every week, and sponsors use it to own the season.
Does it work outside the big codes?
Tipping competitions work for any sport with fixtures. Bowls NSW ran one for its Platinum Pennant tournament with TAB as naming rights sponsor, and the Football Association of Wales runs a score predictor across the JD Cymru Premier. The same template suits a league, a club, a tournament or a finals series.
Can a sponsor put its name on it?
A sponsor can take naming rights to the whole competition, so its brand sits on every round, all season. That makes the tipping competition a sponsor asset you sell from your rate card. Each campaign reports impressions, unique users, clicks through to the sponsor and completion rates, so you can show them the results.
How long does it take to set up?
A typical campaign takes 20 to 40 minutes to build from a template, depending on how much content you add, and most go live in under an hour. Most of the work is loading your fixtures. You build it in your brand without developers or designers, and Copilot gives you people from our team when you're short on time.
Where does the entry data go?
Tipping data is captured with consent on every entry and goes straight into your CRM or marketing tools through built-in integrations such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Klaviyo and Data Talks. Zapier and webhooks connect most other tools, and you can export it too. Campaignware is GDPR compliant and encrypts data in transit and at rest, so the contacts stay yours.
